The Clothes Rack Makes the Man

Posted on October 28, 2010

The clothes rack makes the man. It's not something that you hear everyday. Sure, you've heard that the clothing makes the man, but the clothes rack? At first glance the idea might not even make sense to you, but in fact, your clothes rack says a lot about you and to some extent, it determines how your clothes will look on you.

Buying the wrong clothes rack means that your clothing is going to get wrinkled, dusty, or even cause your clothing to wear wrong. Maybe the way your clothes lie on your body will look awful because you just took that thousand dollar suit out of a cramped and overfilled closet. It happens. In this case, you might just go to work looking like a cramped and overfilled man!

One thing to consider to keep this from happening it to buy an external clothing rack. Your closet is full, so what? Don't just stuff more clothes inside and hope for the best. Buying an external clothes rack will free you from those awful looking creases that come from having too many clothes in your closet. One option is to buy a portable clothes rack. These can be not only useful but can keep your clothes separated from those of the lady in your life and thus give her more of a space to hang her clothes. Far too often, the men's clothes in the closet are just crammed to one side while the gowns, dresses, business attire, and blouses of the woman fill more than three quarters of the closet. Is it fair? No, but there isn't much you can do about it. Women love closets and as a good man, your duty is to give her all the closet space by buying a portable clothing rack.

Portable clothing racks come on wheels or on solid metal or wood bases. They can be placed in any available space and will give new life to your clothing through allowing your clothes to breathe. They have other uses too. Consider the laundry room where things come out of the dryer and are thrown in a pile instead of immediately being hung up. By having a clothing rack in the laundry room, you can put your clothes on the hangers immediately and avoid the wrinkles that come from piling things up. You can save time and energy by not having to iron every shirt before you wear it. That gives you more time to do what you are good at.

In fact, the laundry room is probably a place you should consider buying an additional clothing rack because in most homes it is the most crowded place in the house. Why not have a well organized laundry room and take control of this wild and dangerous part of your home?

Since clothing racks usually have wheels they are easy to move from one part of the house to another. It makes it easy to move clothes from the dryer to the closet (assuming you still have the space to hang anything in the closet) or in the case of a guy who gives his wife the closet, you can simply move the clothing rack to the laundry room, hang your clothes as they come out of the dryer, and then move the rack back to the bedroom or office where you keep your clothes.

It's so easy! In fact, you can benefit from hanging the clothes you usually fold up and thus keep wrinkles out of your life forever. Imagine how much time you will save by bringing the closet to the laundry room instead of folding, transporting, and putting the clothes in the bureau or dresser.

For those who live in a small home or apartment, a clothes rack can be a true blessing. You won't have to make decisions about what to keep and what to throw away any longer. You can keep all of your clothes. We all know that fashion trends tend to come in cycles so you won't be left in the 2020's wishing you still had the silk suit from the 1990's. By having the space to keep your old fashions you clear the way towards being ultra-fashionable in the future. All of that without the expense of buying the same clothes twice!

Of course, maybe you want to get a clothing rack without wheels. No problem. Clothing racks today come in a variety of types and styles. You can get everything from collapsible to permanent. If you are traveling or on vacation, a collapsible clothing rack might be the best solution to keep your clothes looking clean or fresh.

Clothing racks are not expensive. That's one of the best parts about them. Usually you can find a basic clothing rack from $50 to $100. That's a rare value in today's world.
